Citizens call repeatedly for Barton Creek land purchases. Parks Director Beverly Sheffield has limited success in persuading the City to buy open space for preservation purposes.
We gave the city council the plan but they did not see fit to purchase the land. What we really needed to do was spend every dollar that we could get for land above the first sink hole that recharges the aquifer.
