Phil Sterzing draws up an ambitious regional plan to preserve Barton Creek, calling for the acquisition of a Barton Creek Park, untouched by development and stretching 13 miles west from Zilker Park.

I got out there and I was just totally horrified by what had happened, because all the giant trees that were along the creek were gone. That's when I decided I'm going to try and do something about this.
