The Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation find no significant environmental impact from the plan by Longhorn Partners Pipeline to transport diesel and jet fuel 700-miles over the Barton Creek Watershed through a retired pipeline.
Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and the Lower Colorado River Authority oppose fuel transport through the Longhorn Pipeline, believing it poses a safety risk to Austin's drinking water supply.
The decision to approve the pipeline reflects a total indifference to the health and public safety of thousands of Central Texans.
