Groundwater Conservation District Aims to Keep Water in Aquifer

With the creation of this new groundwater conservation district, voters endorse the need to create and enforce water resource management rules in the Edwards Aquifer region that feeds into Barton Springs.  

Without this conservation district someone could literally pump the aquifer dry and no one could do a thing about it.
