Concerns over increasing development in the Barton Creek Watershed give birth to The Zilker Park Posse and subsequently the Save Barton Creek Association. These groups oppose city-approved zoning changes at odds with recently adopted water quality ordinances.

I had never got involved in anything civic or environmental... but there was a civic person under layers and layers of housewife just lurking to come out.
